The Tide Pools series continues exploration into self-narrative construction. Fragments of locations or experiences are assembled together in different ways yet share some of their symbols within similar tide pool settings. As spaces, tide pools are similar to identity narratives in their mixture of change and cohesion. Other imagery continues this idea. For example, in Tide Pools - Orion, the arrangement of posts on the left forms the shape of the Orion constellation. However, the posts on the right form the Big Dipper constellation, showing the constellations as neighbors in spite of the fact that they are nowhere near each other in the actual alignment of the stars. There are discontinuities in spite of attempts to connect the dots and make sense of the world with highly limited success.
